The Global Challenges Foundation wants to see the establishment of new global governance models that can help mitigate and reduce global catastrophic risk. This calls for better knowledge of those risks, and insights into the possible structures that could best address them. To this end, we actively support and endorse research and initiatives that provide innovative analysis or summarise existing knowledge in this area. (PLEASE NOTE: Contributions to the competition "New Shape Prize" can be found both in the general library and in its separate library further down on the page.)

New Shape Prize Library
The world's largest social sciences competition – "A New Shape Prize" – was launched in 2016. The award sought to highlight original proposals for new decision-making structures that galvanise effective international action to tackle global catastrophic risks. Shortlisted and awarded entries can be found in this separate library.
