Bridging the divide
Focus on BCAs and climate-trade policies in this new report from Climate Strategies.
The report investigates how international trade policy can be amended to better support global climate targets – with a focus on Border Carbon Adjustment (BCA) and the potential of plurilateral agreements to increase climate-trade policy efficacy.
The three models of cooperation using BCAs analysed are:
- The G7 Climate Club.
- The talks on the Global Arrangement on Sustainable Steel and Aluminium (GASSA).
- The OECD initiative of the Inclusive Forum on Carbon Mitigation Approaches (IFCMA).
