How can improved global governance address the challenge?

The conference Global Policy Dialogue provides a platform for stakeholders to discuss innovative solutions for addressing the intersection between climate change, biodiversity, nature loss, pollution and much more. The meeting brings together a selective, diverse group from UN missions, think tanks, universities, the private sector, and other civil society organizations.

2024

This meeting in January is part of a four-part series that spans over several years, enacted to procure a mode by which meaningful multi stakeholder dialogue can take place on a variety of issues, leading up to the 2024 Summit of the Future.

Speakers in Recife, Brazil, include among many others:

  • H.E Mary Robinson, Chair of the Elders; Former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Former President of Ireland
  • Dr. Izabella Teixeira, Former Minister of the Environment of Brazil and Co-President of the UN International Resource Panel

Dr Magnus Jiborn, Head of Research, Global Challenges Foundation, will hold one of the welcoming speeches. Linda Burenius, Head of Development, Global Challenges Foundation, will also be at place.

The Global Policy Dialogue will convene among others the Global Governance Innovation NetworkPlatforma CIPÓ, The Stimson Center, theFoundation for European Progressive Studies and Global Challenges Foundation.
