Climate change – overview (extract Global Catastrophic Risk report 2022)

Catastrophic climate change would be triggered by crossing one or more tipping points of the Earth’s climate system. Climate change is a highly complex phenomenon that is affected by many factors. We can divide them into four categories to better discern the various areas where action is possible. Here we discuss what is at stake, and the key factors affecting risk levels.
