Maria Ivanova is professor of global governance at the John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston, director of the Center for Governance and Sustainability at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and visiting scholar at the Climate CoLab at the Center for Collective Intelligence at MIT. Her work focuses on the performance of international institutions, implementation of international environmental commitments, and sustainability in organizations. She was a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the UN Secretary-General and serves on the Board of the UN University Institute for Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS), and of the Global Young Academy. Maria Ivanova is an Andrew Carnegie Fellow and Ambassador for the Global Challenges Foundation.
