About the UN75 partnership
The United Nations is marking its 75th anniversary at a time of great disruption for the world. Launched by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, it promises to be the largest and farthest-reaching global conversation ever on the future role for the UN system and its place and function in the global community.
The UN sees 2020 as a year of dialogue, when the global community comes together to discuss our priorities as a human family, and how we can build a better future for all.
The UN75 initiative asks people to “join the conversation” and present ideas for tackling the challenges we face. Through UN75, the UN will encourages people to put their heads together to define how enhanced international cooperation can help realize a better world by 2045, the UN’s 100th birthday.
In the global dialogue initiative, and in discussions taking place in all settings, from classrooms to boardrooms, across the world. In order to reach as many people as possible, the UN75 builds partnerships with youth, civil society, business and media organisations, with the support of the Global Challenges Foundation.
