In 2015, the Global Challenges Foundation donated SEK 40 million ($4.5 million) to the Stockholm School of Economics to institute a new mandatory undergraduate track, to be included in the Bachelor program in Business and Economics. The new track is called Global Challenges, and consists of an expanded curriculum during the first two years. The Global Challenges track aims to provide students with knowledge and insight to help them contribute to a safer and more sustainable world in their future capacity as decision-makers.
The Global Challenges track was introduced at an event on 2 September, with lectures by GCF board members Mats Andersson and Johan Rockström.
