On 14 March, Malini Mehra, ambassador for the Global Challenges Prize 2017: A New Shape, participated in the panel discussion ”Future prospects for China’s Role in Governing Global Risks” in Beijing. The panel discussion was hosted by the Global Challenges Foundation and the Tsinghua University’s Center for Crisis Management Research (CCMR).

On the panel with Malini Mehra were professor Zhongying Pang at the Centre for Study of Global Governance, School of International Studies, Renmin University; Xiadong Li, director of China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC); Arnold Howitt, co-director of the Program on Crisis Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School; Paul Haenle, director of the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center at Tsinghua University; and Tong Jiang from the national climate center at China’s meteorological administration CMA. Moderator was professor Lan Xue, dean at the School of Public Policy and Managemant (SPPM) at Tsinghua University.
