The Educators’ Challenge Awards, co-hosted by LSE- Institute of Global Affairs, is a starting point in the Foundation's mission to explore how to effectively communicate and increase engagement among young people and the general public around global risks such as climate change, nuclear weapons, and pandemics, which require improved global cooperation.
Join us on this educational day, and meet the finalists of the Educators' Challenge competition who will pitch their ideas and methods to address some of the most pressing issues of our time.
At the event, the finalists will pitch their ideas and methods on how to best address the issue of communicating some of the pressing risks of our time during the morning, and an awards ceremony will take place. Lunch will be served, the day will continue with a panel discussion on how to communicate global risks beyond scientific and policy circles, featuring, Jens Orback who was Swedens former Minister for Democracy and Metropolitan affairs, award-winning photojournalist Boniface Mwangi, as well as Mette Hoffmann Meyer who is the CEO & co-founder of The Why Foundation.
