Founder and Chairman
Laszlo Szombatfalvy (born 1927) came to Sweden in 1956 from Hungary as a refugee. He developed his own model for the valuation and risk analysis of shares which was successfully – 30 % return per year for 46 years – used for his own investments on the Swedish Stock Exchange. With time the perspective broadened to cover the risks and challenges currently facing humanity. Laszlo Szombatfalvy presented his analysis in the book The Greatest Challenges of Our Time (published in Swedish with the title Vår tids största utmaningar by Ekerlids Publishing House, in 2009). The following year, he released his second book, Känslor och förnuft, which is about moral decisions. The Foundation’s capital predominantly consists of a donation from Laszlo Szombatfalvy.
